Does this sound like you?

You grew up learning that hard work and determination could get you anywhere, but you never learned how to rest.

You were taught that working hard made you a better person, so you struggle to identify what your values are as an adult.

Because of your upbringing, you feel that your productivity dictates your self-worth, and you feel guilty when you take time off. Since you chose your professional career, you have felt left out and misunderstood when with your family.

You struggle to think about the future because of financial stressors like student loans, and you aren’t sure what needs to change.

You’re pressured to hit social milestones like getting married, having kids and buying a home, even if you want something different or are unable to.

You’re issues are misunderstood by older generations. You’re angry and frustrated, but you don’t feel it’s for a “good enough reason.”

Hi there! I’m Sarah Bryski-Hamrick.

Why I Love Working with Millennial Workers.

I am a millennial, so I get it. I know that from a young age, you were taught that your hard work defines you. I know what it is like to be burdened by student loans, and stuck renting while you save as much as possible.

I understand the desire to have experiences instead of hitting traditional life milestones. I know what it is like to reject the oppressive systems that we have been brought up in.

I get what it is like to be over educated and underpaid, while aching with empathy for those around you that are suffering. I get it. I am here to help.

I also know that the younger generation, Gen Z or zoomers are facing the same, if not worse, quality of life challenges as millennials. I am here for you too, Gen Zs.

My Therapeutic Approach.

As a leftist therapist, I love using feminist therapy to validate the frustration and the strain that keeps millennials and Gen Zs down. With a liberation psychology frame, I understand that the class struggle encompasses racism, classism, sexism, transphobia, homophobia, ableism and other forms of hate. Living within class struggle as we know it causes lasting damage to your mental health.

With me, your therapy will be political.

I use EMDR therapy to address trauma and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) to lessen the pain of depression and anxiety.

I also work in mindfulness, using loving kindness and self-compassion to help you on your healing journey.

Who I am.

I’m a partner, gardener, reader, cat mom, blogger, community organizer, long time renter and ower of student loans.

I am a forever student. I love deepening my yoga and meditation practice while honoring their Eastern roots.

I love journaling and pulling tarot cards.

I desire revolution both politically and internally for me and all citizens of the world. I love the outdoors and I also love “do-nothing“ days.

I am a social introvert that requires lots of recharge time. I am a comrade, ex-christian, child-free woman who loves to make memories.

My specialty: professional millennials + Gen Z.

I specialize in treating professional millennials + Gen Zs from working class backgrounds. As someone who grew up in a working class family, I understand what it is like to feel that your hopes and dreams are muted by inaccessibility.

It can be a struggle to imagine yourself in a professional role, and oftentimes when you arrive there, the residual feelings can bring about issues with confidence and motivation. Does this sound like you? I can help with that!

In session, you will learn ways to trust your instincts, trust your education, and use your background to empower you.

A lot of millennials and Gen Zs have internalized capitalism, which is when your self-worth is directly connected to your productivity. If this is true for you, it is not your fault.

Our culture is obsessed with productivity, consumerism and making the wealthy more wealthy, resulting in workers (like me + you) feeling like they are never doing enough. This is an effect of the political and economic system we live in, known as capitalism.

My clients are taught how to value their time, have healthy expectations for themselves + practice self-compassion while still enjoying their work.

I serve Pennsylvania residents virtually.

I am not the therapist that will teach you how to be more productive. I am the therapist who will help you heal by learning to be unproductive.

Business Coach for Therapists.

I provide business coaching for therapists across the globe! I help what are known as “Exploited Therapists“ or therapists whose labor and time has been exploited by wealth hoarding bosses and supervisors.

I coach therapists through the journey of building their own liberation oriented therapy practices.

I love helping therapists heal from the exploitative systems they have worked in, whether is be hospitals, private practices or agencies.

We are a field of helpers and healers.

We work emotionally laborious jobs. The world teaches us that while being healers, we also need to suffer financially throughout our career.

I do not accept that.

When you work with me, you will learn how to build a thriving private practice that reflects you altruistic values, allows you to actually save for your future, and gives you more time in your day.

I coach clients in the US & abroad.
